CarbonTracker

Download (CT2007)
CarbonTracker includes access to the following model and observational data:

  • 3-D Mole Fractions
This is a link to our FTP server, where we have made daily 3-D CO2 mole fraction fields available in NetCDF format for others to use in their work. Images of the contents of these files are included on the website under Carbon Weather.
  • Weekly Fluxes
This is a link to our FTP server, where we have made weekly global surface fluxes available in NetCDF format for others to use in their work. Images of the contents of these files are included on the website under Flux Maps.
  • Source Code
This is a link to the CarbonTracker source code. The main body of CarbonTracker is the TM5 two-way nested model written in Fortran-90. Additional data needed to run CarbonTracker yourself can be made available upon request.

  • Observations
This is a link to our FTP server, where all NOAA ESRL atmospheric CO2 observations used in CarbonTracker are available in text file format. Images of the contents of these text files are also included on the website under Product Evaluation.
  • Other Observations
Users interested in obtaining other observational data used in CarbonTracker should directly contact the measurement laboratory. CarbonTracker collaborators are listed in Collaborators.
  • Visualization
This is a link to the NOAA ESRL Carbon Cycle Interactive Atmospheric Data Visualization (IADV) website. IADV is a data exploration tool that enables visitors to
    • View all data including near real-time preliminary measurement results.
    • Obtain details about each sampling location.
    • Manipulate and compare NOAA ESRL data sets.
    • Create custom graphs.
    • View their plots on-line with an option to save figures locally for later use.
