Abstract

This presentation synthesizes the outcomes from last fall's PSL 1-day workshop on S2S/Extremes. We will describe how PSL is working to understand the science issues behind S2S/Extremes, how PSL is working to improve predictions, and how we are helping NOAA with communicating the improved predictions. The seminar will describe key S2S research questions and how PSL is conducting holistic R&D to address these questions. We hope for lively discussion and feedback, as material from this seminar will be used to describe PSL's work to OAR leadership in the coming weeks.
