Contemporary Challenges and Opportunities in Sub-Seasonal to Seasonal Forecasts

Abstract

Dr. DeWitt will give his view on the current landscape for sub-seasonal to seasonal forecasts. This will include a brief overview of the Weather Bill (Public Law 115-25) and the report due to Congress on current S2S operational forecasting and research activities. He will also highlight current collaborative projects between CPC and ESRL and CPC near-term research priorities which might lead to further collaboration.

Visitors

You must provide an accepted form of identification at the Visitor Center to obtain a vistor badge. Security personnel also inspect vehicles prior to entrance of the site. Please allow extra time for these procedures.

After receiving a badge, you must arrive at the DSRC Lobby at least 5 minutes before the seminar starts to meet your security escort. If you arrive after that time, you will not be allowed entry.
