The following table contains observed (FTIR) and simulated (LBL
using CMDL balloon soundings) radiance data. The full spectrum
gives IR radiance results for the full spectrum observed by the
FTIR (400 to 2000 cm-1). Diagrams of the H2O rotational band
and vibrational band are also given. You can view the images
using Table 1 or download postscript images using Table 2. The
4 digit number indicates the local time (HHMM) of the FTIR
observation taken in Boulder, CO (MST). The CMDL balloon
sounding data and time is given as the column title.
NOTES
The CMDL sounding that shows the best clear sky sounding
is for 08Nov00.
FTIR observations on 12Feb01 give blackbody curves for all
observations from 9:40 to 11:09. Cloudy observations are given
for observations taken from 11:09 to 11:57. One example is
given of each. Clear sky observations start at 14:35.
FTIR observations on 22Feb01 appear to have cloud
contamination. The CMDL balloon sounding attests this fact.
FTIR observations on 12Mar02 start with a calibration
curve for 08:11. Most observations show presence of cloud.
The clearest obsevation is at 16:06.
