Gaby Pétron is a research scientist with the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences at the University of Colorado-Boulder. She works in the Carbon Cycle group at NOAA GML, focusing on global atmospheric measurements of long-lived greenhouse gases and co-emitted trace gases and local to global scale studies of air pollution and emissions. She has contributed to several projects investigating hydrocarbon emissions and ozone in oil and natural gas producing basins.
