On Friday July 16, the National Research Council (NRC) released a new report Climate Stabilization Targets: Emissions, Concentrations, and Impacts over Decades to Millennia. The report uses the latest scientific information available to quantify the relationships between emission, concentration, warming, and future impacts. It examines the implications of a range of different greenhouse gas emissions levels being discussed, including likely impacts and the potential for serious or irreversible climate changes. CSD senior scientist Susan Solomon chaired the report's authoring committee.
