NOAA WP-3D Daily Plan

Daily plans post here, and include meeting times and information about flights.

Plan: 04/30/2015 900 Central

The P-3 finished its last flight last Monday. All of the instruments were taken off the aircraft on Tuesday and returned to the lab. The P-3 flew back home to Tampa yesterday. The projects is now officially done! Thanks to everyone for making SONGNEX into such a success! I attach the group photo made last Monday by David Oonk as well as the map with all of the flights we conducted.

We received a lot of media attention during the project. A quick sampling is here:

In the last week we had reporters from the High Country News and HBO Vice on board, whose stories are yet to come out, and I talked to the Weather Channel yesterday.

Thanks again and stay tuned for updates about data meetings, workshops, etc. A session for the AGU Fall Meeting has been proposed, which will be a convenient place to report first results.
