One of the most exciting aspects of SHEBA, both scientifically and personally, was the opportunity to spend a year on the ice - an opportunity to follow a piece of ice for an entire annual cycle and to witness and document the changes that occur. From 2 October 1997 to 11 October 1998 Ice Station SHEBA and the Des Groseilliers drifted with the Arctic pack ice. Take a few minutes to make the voyage yourself.
