The Mainline mass balance site was a 50-m-long line of 16 ablation stakes spaced every 2.5 m or 5 m. The line included undeformed and ponded multiyear ice. The schematic shows the number and initial ice thickness in October 1997 for each of the gauges along the Mainline. Click on the numbers to see results. |
