Joint Interagency Weather Research Coordination Meeting Review
Monday, July 19, 2010
Silver Spring, MD

NOAA, FAA, and NASA have ongoing meetings to coordinate aviation research activities within their respective programs and offices (NOAA Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research, FAA Aviation Weather Research Program, and NASA Applied Sciences Program). Initial meetings were held March 22-24, 2010 in Boulder, CO (http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/gsd/research/events/avi-nextgen/march2010/).  This meeting serves as a follow-up to the March meetings to review the March meetings, with overview and/or status of ongoing gap analysis, right sizing, and research-to-operations programmatic efforts. Mark Andrews, Weather Working Group Government Chair (Joint Planning and Development Office) will facilitate a discussion regarding research challenges of the Single Authoritative Source, Weather Translation, and Integration.
