LAPS Workshop Logistics
Security
Please bring a government issued ID to show the NOAA security officer at the Visitor Center on
Rayleigh Road, just west of Broadway.
At the Visitor Center, stop to acquire a visitors badge from the officer on duty. They will ask a few questions, sign you in, and give you a visitor badge for the day. This will allow your access through the entrance gate and allow you access to the building.
Please allow about 20 minutes to check through security and subsequent parking on the west side of the David Skaggs Research Center (DSRC).
If you are a foreign national without a US issued green card or NOAA issued security badge, this process is more complex. We must give twenty-four hours advanced notice to the Security Office for you to enter the site. Please visit the following links for instructions and the Foreign National Visitor/Guest Information Report Form.
If you have trouble transmitting the form to Security, contact Joanne.Krumel@noaa.gov

Parking
There is plenty of parking on the west side of the DSRC building. Most of the spaces in that lot are non-reserved. The main entrance of DSRC is located in the center of the west side of the building.
Eating
We are taking menu orders during Monday's registration at the workshop for lunch to be delivered Tuesday and Wednesday from the NIST cafeteria.
There is also a cafeteria in DSRC where snacks and light entrees can be obtained. This is just outside the meeting room (GC402). They open early
in the morning for breakfast (around 7:00am) and serve lunch until 1:30pm, with light snacks until 2:30 or 3:00pm.
