NOAA/GMD is the WMO/GAW Central Calibration Laboratory (CCL)
for N2O, CO2, CH4, and CO. In support of GAW, GMD offers calibration services
for these gases for a modest fee. The HATS Group of GMD will also calibrate
compressed gas standards to NOAA/GMD scales for CFCs, HCFCs, etc.
Calibrations are performed through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). To
initiate an MOU, please contact Brad
Hall or Duane Kitzis.
We also prepare tertiary
standards at near-ambient mixing ratios for other organizations performing
research related to our lab's mission. . The cost of a standard varies with
the cylinder type and level of complexity. For cylinders filled with natural
air (Niwot Ridge, Colorado) fees are listed below. Note that the HATS Group
operates a different Rix compressor than the CCGG Group . This
compressor has been modified to reduce contaminants that can interfere with
gas chromatography with electron capture detection. We can prepare standards in different
cylinders as follows, with calibration options listed above.
For custom mixtures or
variations, please contact Brad Hall (+1 303 497 7011) |
