Shipping Notes:
Invoice:
This document is necessary for the clearance of the goods in the Brazilian Customs. It’s necessary to inform the
appropriate descriptions of the equipments in English, the values, net weight, gross weight of each equipment
and the totals.
Before sending us the Invoice, please confirm if it is really the final list of the materials because it’s too difficult
to prepare the import licenses if it’s necessary to change them after to be registered on the Custom system.
Avoid to put values as USD 1.699,97; USD 458,01.
As there are many values to work with, it would be grateful to work with exact values as USD 1.700,00; USD
460,00.
Please do not use the expression Keuros or something like that on the Invoice because it isn’t recognized by
Brazilian Customs. If use that it will be necessary to change all documentation to start the clearance of the
goods.
Packing List:
This document is necessary for to clear the goods too.
It’s necessary to inform the descriptions of the equipments in English, gross weight, dimensions of each box
and the totals – without the values of the goods, so please do not inform them on the PL.It would be good
identify each box with a number showing the gross weight and the equipments of each box and the total gross
weight on the Packing List. Please, print the paper in Exporter logo.
Remember: The Brazilian Customs do not accept divergences of weight 10% (higher or lower) from the
mentioned on the AWB so please make sure that it will be respected.
To avoid any Customs problems please do not book the flights/shipments before we finally get the Import
Licenses and send you the "Shipping Authorization" from INPE.
The shipment should contain materials necessary for research. This does not include paper, pens and other
office items that are easily purchased in Brazil.
If shipment contains radioactive, explosive, chemical materials or other “controlled items”, the INPE will see if
the trade electronic system named SISCOMEX requires a special permission from the departments appropriate
to import these materials.
If you have any question about whether your equipment contains “controlled items”, it is best to check with
your transport company. Getting this permission requires additional time.
The INPE’s Import and Export Area will work to get the shipment released from Customs after its arrival in
Brazil. When your shipment is released from Customs, it will be forwarded to its final destination as requested.
