Anne joined ESRL in summer of 2009 to work on ambient observations of black carbon aerosol using the Single Particle Soot Photometer (SP2). In her graduate work in Ron Cohen's lab at UC Berkeley, she used both laboratory and field observations of oxidized nitrogen to investigate the impact of formation of alkyl- and multifunctional-nitrates on tropospheric ozone production and NOy transport.
