Dr. Karen Rosenlof has been elected as a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society (induction to occur February 2014). Dr. Rosenlof's election recognizes her exemplary record of scientific achievement in studying atmospheric dynamics related to climate and the stratosphere, her scientific leadership, and her service to the community.

Karen has been a research meteorologist in the Chemical Sciences Division (formerly the Aeronomy Laboratory) since 1999. She received her PhD in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Washington in 1994, and was with the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of Colorado Boulder, working at the NOAA Aeronomy Lab prior to her federal service. Her research interests lie in stratospheric dynamics, stratosphere-troposphere interactions, and stratospheric composition including water vapor and ozone, and climate change. Since 2011, Karen is the program lead of CSD's Chemistry and Climate Processes group.
