WP-3D AWAS and One Minute Average Merge File Download
Data Download for Modellers
Data Info has detailed information on names and units for each parameter in files.
AWAS Merge Files
These files contain all species merged and averaged onto the AWAS (Advanced Whole Air Sampler) start/stop time in one ICARTT file per flight. All species are included except for the AWAS data itself since the files already contain 200 species.
Revision History:
20120910 - Revision R5: Added more comments in header, uncertainties, calculate wind direction, heading using vectors. Add .tar file to download all files at once.
20110915 - Revision R4: Includes updated PAS (R1) and SO2 (R0). No updated SO2 for 20100622. Neither updated data set was available for 20100430, so it is still R3.
20110425 - Revision R3: Add more decimal places to GpsLon (only had 1 previously).
20110411 - Revision R2: Includes revised QCLS CO2 and DUAL files. Files for 4/30, 5/4 and 5/14 are all at R2 also for the sake of consistent numbering.
20110323 - Revision R1: Includes revised aircraft data (except for 4/30, 5/4 and 5/14).
20110223 - Revision R0: Merges created.

Notes about calculation of the averages
When calculating the averages for both data sets, there is no requirement for the minimum number of valid points in that average, to be consistent with how NASA calculates their merge files. Also, after talking to different PI's, there was no optimum number of points to require since under different conditions (plumes, altitudes, etc.) there would be different numbers of points to get a representative average for different measurements.
