ITCT 2002 General Info

The Intercontinental Transport and Chemical Transformation (ITCT) 2002 study was designed to further understand the transport and chemical processing of pollution. For more information about this project, go to the ITCT 2002 project web site.

Western U.S., Eastern Pacific Ocean

The NOAA WP-3D completed 13 flights primarily from the Monterey, CA airport, and a ground sampling site made measurements at Trinidad Head, CA.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Earth System Research Laboratory (ESRL) Chemical Sciences Division (CSD), formerly the Aeronomy Laboratory (AL) coordinated this study in conjuction with the Internation Global Atmospheric Chemistry Program (IGAC) and included investigators from many universities and governmental research groups.
