1999 SOS General Info
Southern Oxidants Study (SOS) was designed to improve understanding of the processes that control the formation and distribution of fine particles and ozone. For more information about this project, go to the SOS 1999 project web site.

Nashville, Tennessee
A ground-based sampling site was located at the Cornelia Fort Air Park and 13 flights were made by the NOAA P-3 based out of Nashville, Tennessee.
Coordinating organizations include the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).
